 AVONDALE COLLEGE

Constructed in 2002, the Avondale College Auditorium is part of the extensive campus located at sunny Cooranbong, near Morisset on the New South Wales Central Coast.
The auditorium had to operate as a multi function centre with intended usage extending from noisy basket ball tournaments to serious drama.
To acoustically satisfy these needs, a low reverberation time was required along with high rain noise attenuation and adequate thermal insulation.
Envirospray 300 was spray applied directly to the metal roof in a metal grey colour to obtain significant rain noise reduction and an NRC 1.0
Envirospray 300 was also installed on all the side walls and screeded back to obtain a slick “wall panel” look. Fabric wrapped fiberglass acoustic panels were installed in the very low areas to offer an extra tough surface against basketball impact damage.
