CENTENARY AUDITORIUM
The Art Gallery of NSW, SYDNEY |
Established in 1874, the Art Gallery of NSW is home to some of the worlds most outstanding collection of art, along side exhibitions ranging from Renoir to Picasso to the Dead Sea Scrolls.
In 2002, an underground mini theatre was built on Level 3 , which was designed to obtain outstanding internal acoustic qualities while satisfying a very high standard of visual architectural requirements.
To achieve these goals, removable wool fabric faced NRC Panels were specified to line the rear and side walls of the theater and the Entry Foyer.
Constructed using a rigid absorptive core of high density glasswool, the NRC Panels were prefabricated to CAD dimensioning off site, transported to the project and simply clicked into place. The venue is currently used for lectures , movies and audio visual demonstrations.
